Meditation is a practice that can build your internal self. It facilitates a deep state of relaxation and eliminates disturbing thoughts, reduces stress, and restores psychological well-being.
To start: Go to a quiet location where there are no disruptions. If you see fit, play some soft music to assist your relaxation. Get into a comfortable position and close your eyes. Slowly breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Practice this for approximately 15 minutes, focusing only on your breathing. After that, you may let your mind roam onto positive thoughts of love and joy. You may also let your mind roam onto memories and aspirations. Meditate on the good as well as the bad. You may take your meditaion time as a reflective part of your day or as a time for setting forth any goals or intentions you may have. Morning, Noon, or Night, you will discover a time to mediatate that works for you.
I encourage everyone to meditate daily as it is a sure fire way to restore engery to the body and tranquility to the mind.
I tried doing this yesterday when my thoughts wouldn’t stop racing and what not. I have to say, it did calm my nerves and helped me clear my head some. Thanks for sharing. It was much needed! š
I’m glad to hear you gave it a try! I hope you find this technique useful with each experience. =)
