I am a licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a member of the American Psychological Association. I have over 20 years of experience in individual, family, child, and adolescent counseling. I work in social service agency settings and my specializations include: Depressive Disorder, Grief Counseling, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, Couple’s/Marriage Counseling, and Psychotherapy. My goal is to inspire individuals and share proven techniques to help them achieve a happier and more fulfilling life, both psychologically and emotionally.
In the past, I had formed a non-profit community center which included juvenile prevention programs, social services, and youth help. With three children of my own, my main objective was to engage the youth in positive action, keep children off the streets, and build up the community. This center was senator funded and due to newly elected officials, is now closed for business. Within the last five years, I have completed my Doctorates degree and redirected my energy back toward my community. Currently, I am a consultant for two services located in Coney Island: Brooklyn Community Services and Astella Neighborhood Services.
